I knew the title of this one but not what it was about. Sounds really interesting Kate, both in terms of style and content. Thanks for sharing and for reading the snippet so we got a feel for it.

Very interesting. "Nothing but the facts for these kids": cf Thomas Gradgrind in Hard Times! It sounds like the epistolary form was made for this kind of novel.

There's this bubbling humor that comes through in that very short snippet, I wonder if it carries through the rest of the book? Great episode, Kate. I'm especially interested in the idea of using real people as characters in novels - our experience of famous people is sometimes as significant or even more than some of the "ordinary" people in our lives.
