What a fascinating discussion - and how lovely to catch up with an old friend on your trip! I love Mike's family portraits, and especially that they are taking place in public libraries : )
I just had a conversation yesterday here in Basel with a photographer who wants to educate others on the conditions of refugees living here in bunkers with no natural light. I suggested taking a look at your work on BPS.
Sounds amazing. Could do some interesting, gripping silhouetted portraits to drive home the point or infrared. I'd be happy to see their work whenever they post it.

Thanks for the wonderful interview, Kate! I'm happy it's spreading the word particularly on the HVAC portraits.

You know how I feel about art & politics!
Thanks again for such a rich dialogue.

I’ll keep you posted! She is also working with some students who may do this as part of a service activity.
Wendy Ewald and her I Wanna Take Me a Picture teaching photography with and for kids / students in general book may be of some use to her.
What a brilliant, thoughtful conversation. Love Mike’s photos too.
